Number two.

As I sit here on the big orange couch, Ted ambled over and hopped up next to me, curious about my string cheese consumption. The other night se sat by me here and watched as I put every single sweet potato fry in my mouth. Back and forth, back and forth. I swear, I cannot figure these cat things out.

Anyways, so on to weekend number two. We're getting places here :)

The weekend of the 8th was a very good one. One of the best. That's because Harnar and I went back to my house on Friday night, squished the dog,  raided the grocery store, hung out with Bjones, ate to Perkins, went to bed, then woke up the next morning to trek up to Duluth and see my sister in the production of The Laramie Project.  (click the link to read what it's all about---fasincating) We set out on our mini road trip mid-morning, and even though we were supposed to be doing homework, well....not too much of that happened on the way up. Most of the time was spent listening to music, chatting, watching the north woods zoom past our windows, and eating. We ate a lot of blueberry muffin shredded wheat thingies, along with pastries from Tobie's, and a vegan muffin that Harnar had brought from Hard Times. Blissful childhood memories were recounted, and the whole trip felt like a much needed vacation.

VEGAN MUFFIN.

oh look! actual homework...

We drove into Duluth, picked up Noopo, and quickly rushed over to Hancock Fabrics to scrounge up a pattern for her costuming class project. Then it was off to the show, which lasted for a good 2.5 hours, so by the time that was done, we were starving. To cure that, Amazing Grace Café  was hit up, and we all enjoyed some delightful soups, breads, and lasagnas out in the late afternoon sun. Harnar had never really been to Duluth to explore, so we moseyed over to the lighthouse and along the boardwalk before having to drop Noopo off at school again for another show.

The drive home was much less exciting, as Harnar slept and listened to music the whole way down, and I attempted to read my boring-as-heck film homework. Bleh.

The next day, we tromped out to enjoy the fading fall colors over in Fish Lake Park near my house. a good two hours were spent romping through leaves, down wooded paths, up forested hills and out onto fishing docks. I can't tell you how many pictures we took. It was a grand ol' time.

LOOKIT THE SIZE O' THAT THING. (the leaf, of course)

The weekend ended with a good salad and being dropped back off at school to begin slaving away again at who knows what crap.

Yeah.
